About us
Real experiences, real learning, real childhood
Our Ethos
At Apollo Nursery, everything we do is guided by our Pillars of Learning: Wonder, Wellbeing and Wisdom, placing each child at the heart of every decision, experience and interaction.
We create a calm, natural environment where curiosity is inspired, wellbeing is nurtured, and learning is embedded through meaningful opportunities, both indoors and in the natural world. Through open-ended experiences and thoughtful practice, we encourage children to explore, ask questions and engage deeply in their learning.
We place a strong emphasis on secure, trusting relationships and high-quality interactions, ensuring every child feels safe, valued and understood. Through this, children build confidence, develop resilience and begin to understand themselves and the world around them.
At Apollo Nursery, we are committed to creating a space where children can grow, explore and truly experience childhood.

We aim to provide a rich and meaningful curriculum that supports every child to grow in confidence, resilience and independence, while developing a deep understanding of the world around them. We place a strong emphasis on Communication and Language, Personal, Social and Emotional Development, and Physical Development, recognising these as the foundations for all learning.
Our curriculum is delivered through a balance of child-led and adult-guided experiences, with a strong focus on open-ended play, exploration and real-life opportunities that inspire curiosity. We recognise that children learn best when they feel safe, secure and happy, with learning rooted in positive, meaningful experiences. Our calm, natural environments and carefully selected resources support children to engage deeply, think critically and develop sustained shared thinking, bringing to life our commitment to "Real Experiences, Real Learning, Real Childhood."

Our Curriculum
Learning Spaces
Children benefit from free-flow indoor and outdoor learning all year round, where the natural world is central to their learning and development. Through Forest School and Beach School experiences, children are supported to take risks, solve problems and develop a deep and meaningful connection to the world around them.
High-quality interactions are central to our practice. Practitioners carefully observe, respond to and extend children’s learning in the moment, ensuring each child’s individual interests and stage of development shape their unique learning journey.
The impact of our curriculum is seen in children who are confident, curious and capable, with the resilience, independence and skills to explore, question and make sense of the world around them.

From Forest School to Beach School, children are supported to explore, take risks and develop a meaningful connection with the world around them, while secure relationships ensure they feel safe, valued and understood.
This is the Apollo approach, where childhood leads and learning follows.
